چکیده
This article focuses on the qualitative analysis of complex dynamics arising in a few mathematical models neuroscience context. We first discuss three-dimensional FitzHugh–Rinzel (FHR) model and then illustrate those class non-homogeneous FitzHugh–Nagumo (Nh-FHN) reaction-diffusion systems. FHR Nh-FHN can be used to generate relevant wave-propagation phenomena Such include canards, mixed-mode oscillations (MMOs), Hopf-bifurcations their spatially extended counterpart. Our highlights original methods characterize these how they emerge ordinary differential equations models.

Oscillatory dynamics induced in polyelectrolyte gels by a non-oscillatory reaction: a model.
We develop a general model and the associated numerical algorithm to compute the swelling dynamics of chemo-responsive polyelectrolyte gels immersed in a reactive ionic solution kept at a non equilibrium stationary state by a permanent feed of fresh reactants. Using an autocatalytic bistable but nonoscillatory reaction, namely, the bromate-sulfite reaction, we predict that a piece of hydrogel t...
متن کاملOscillatory dynamics and non-Markovian memory in dissipative quantum systems.
The nonequilibrium dynamics of a small quantum system coupled to a dissipative environment is studied. We show that (i) the oscillatory dynamics close to a coherent-to-incoherent transition is significantly different from the one of the classical damped harmonic oscillator and that (ii) non-Markovian memory plays a prominent role in the time evolution after a quantum quench.
متن کاملDetecting Non-trivial Computation in Complex Dynamics
We quantify the local information dynamics at each spatiotemporal point in a complex system in terms of each element of computation: information storage, transfer and modification. Our formulation demonstrates that information modification (or non-trivial information processing) events can be locally identified where “the whole is greater than the sum of the parts”. We apply these measures to c...
